NEW JERSEY – This coming Saturday is looking like a purrrrfect day for a baseball game for one minor league team.
The single-A Lakewood BlueClaws of New Jersey are having CATurday, a day full of cat-themed promotions.
The BlueClaws, which is a Philadelphia Phillies affiliate, will be wearing cat-picture jerseys and fans are encouraged to bring their cats to the game. All cats must be on a leash and will be admitted with a $2 “Paw Pass.”
The team will also be selling a specialty drink called “The Black Cat Cocktail.” There will be a rendition of “Take MEOW Out to the Ballgame”.
A local animal shelter will also be in attendance at the game,
The shelter will be collecting donations for a cat supply drive and they will also have cats available for adoption right at the game.
