A new surveillance video from the street where several bags containing dead animals were dumped was just released.
It seems like no matter what you do, there’s always someone or something watching you. This time it was a surveillance camera that caught this heinous crime on video.
This surveillance video shows a nearly empty road on Tuesday morning with nothing but a single piece of white debris.
Then, a car passes and suddenly, a heap of trash appears. The following morning, police officers moved the bags to the side of the road.
An hour later, officers returned to put up the infamous yellow tape. The crime coincidentally happened right after LVMPD’s new animal cruelty unit had been established.
Clark county prosecutor Amy Ferreira is a part of it, and is thankful that this investigation will get the time and effort it deserves.
Killing a cat is in some but not all cases is a felony. An animal cruelty felony comes with 1 to 6 years in prison per count, per animal.
Since there were four cats, the suspect could face 4 different charges.
