Stray Cat From Irag Re-united In Los Angeles With Veteran Soldier Who Befriended Him!

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – One lucky cat has just been reunited with his rescuer after traveling all the way from Iraq.

The gorgeous kitty, it seems, had been abandoned by its mother and quickly struck up a friendship with Brad. When the came time to return to his family, Brad says he simply didn’t want to leave him behind.

California Navy Reservist Brad Van Cleave states he just couldn’t leave behind Mr. Meowgi while working in Baghdad. At the time, he was working as a government contractor at the airport there when he says every morning the kitten would purr away, giving him his telling name — Mr. Meowgi.

When the came time to return to his family, Brad says he simply didn’t want to leave him behind.

So the SPCA International and Operation Baghdad Pups have brought the two back together again.

Mr. Meowgi ended up on a plane to Erbil, then Frankfurt, Germany, then New York before arriving in Los Angeles and into Brad’s arms.
